As another week passes by, Nintendo has continued the routine of revealing a new arrangement every Tuesday. This time it’s the main theme of the original Pikmin, which played during the main menu. Despite missing an update to the site last week due to the events in Japan, it’s clear that Nintendo does not intend to break the reveal pattern.

This new arrangement is supervised by Hideki Sakamoto, who is responsible for composing the main theme of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. You can check out the new song below.

Unlike previous musicians we’ve talked about in the past, it’s hard to pin Hideki Sakamoto to a single franchise or company. While he did contribute to Yakuza 2 and 3, he has frequently moved from game to game throughout the years. He even contributed to the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon series at one point.

For those that played Super Smash Bros. 4, you may recognize his previous contributions. He was responsible for the arrangements “The Great Cave Offensive” and “Main Theme / Underworld Theme (The Legend of Zelda).” I’ve included the former below, as many of you may not have heard it before since the stage it was tied to was not that popular due to its design.
