Next month Sega will hold their Fes 2018 exhibition in Japan. Many fans are hoping to hear exciting new announcements from the event, with one Producer possibly hinting the reveal of new Shining projects.
Speaking with Japanese magazine Famitsu, Makoto Suzuki, who is spearheading PS3 remake Shining Resonance Refrain, has suggested that the team has ideas to discuss about the future of the franchise.
“We are doing our best to show various things we are working on with the series at Sega Fes in April,” said Suzuki. “After this, please look forward to the enjoyable environments we have in the works between traditional games like this one (referring to Shining Resonance Refrain), as well as titles with various other directions”.
That’s quite the obscure statement. But regardless, it looks like once Refrain sees its launch on PS4, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch later this year, there may be new adventures on the horizon for the long-running RPG series. Sega Fes takes place in Akihabra, Tokyo between April 14-15.
