Persona, Catherine and Etrian Odyssey publisher Atlus has had a shake-up at the top of its corporate structure, bringing in head honchos from Sega to oversee operations and projects from both video game industry corporations.

Ian Curran, the current President and COO of Sega of America has taken a dual-role, where he will now also be President and COO of Atlus USA. Sounds like a busy guy. Meanwhile, Sega West’s President and COO Tatsuyuki Miyazaki has accepted the role of Atlus USA CEO, replacing former CEO Naoto Hiraoka, who steps into the brand holder’s position.

“I’m eager to grow my role as the new President and COO of Atlus USA Inc. and greatly appreciate the support that Mr. Hiraoka has given me up to this point,” said Curran in a press release. “Across the SEGA and Atlus families, we’ve had an incredibly successful year, and there is still so much to look forward to”.

Miyazaki thanked his predecessor Hiraoka for being a “valuable asset” to the Atlus team, before speaking of his own excitement in his new role. “I’m thrilled to play a greater role in the continued success of Atlus U.S.A., Inc. and work alongside Ian, who has done an incredible job in just a couple of short months in his role as President and COO of SEGA of America.”

Atlus next major releases include the Western localisation of the Persona Dancing titles, the Japanese launch of Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth on Nintendo 3DS and 2019’s re-release of sexy puzzle adventure, Catherine: Full Body.
