Warm and happy holidays and sweet, sweet alcohol consumption!
Lyle’s white whale has arrived. His cold, bitter thirst for conflict has been building since childhood to this very moment, but while we plan the first strike, here’s what’s been happening in video games:
- Devil May Cry 5 is getting…multiplayer?
- Spider-Man has reached its final DLC!
- Mortal Kombat 11 is going to be a thing and more!
The holidays have arrived! Game of the year discussions, eggnog with rum, and crappy holiday costumes on video game characters! I wouldn’t have it any other way. However, for me anyway, this is the first time I’ve had to reflect on the loads of games I’ve been playing this year. In previous years, I’d maybe play a handful of new games and add everything else to my growing backlog.
In 2018, however, this is no longer the case. I’m serious when I say this was the year I played the most games on a day-to-day basis in my adult life. It’s been crazy and I’ve loved every minute of it. So, in the coming days, I’ll be committing myself to the science of breaking down my favorite games of the year and letting Lyle free from his cage to rest for a few weeks. He deserves that much, at least.
Discharged question of the week: what’s your favorite holiday video game related memory?
