Customisation Mode should redress the balance, literally
Speaking in an interview with professional player Marie-Laure Norindr (“Kayane”), the producer of Soulcalibur VI, Motohiro Okubo, stated that the burgeoning roster of fighters for the upcoming sequel would unfortunately not be receiving alternate costumes.
“As of now, characters only have one costume with alternative colors.” said Okubo. “We wanted to have more, but it was kinda complicated”. The characters will still feature a range of colour schemes for their impressive garbs, fortunately. Also SCVI sees the return of the character customisation mode, which will hopefully go some way toward allowing players to make Ivy, Siegfried, Maxi et al look like high fashion fighters, or raging goofs, whichever you prefer.
In regards to character customisation, Okubo continued “We don’t have the older costumes from the series, but I think you’ll be able to create something similar in this mode.” So it looks like it’s gonna be up to you and your own catwalk senses to get Voldo looking like the belle of the ball.
Soulcalibur VI launches on PS4, PC and Xbox One on October 19.
