At Evo this past weekend, Arc System Works announced that a new Guilty Gear was in development. Set for a release in 2020, no platforms were confirmed alongside the teaser trailer. While it was likely that PS4 would be one consoles the game would end up on, it’s nice to have confirmation that the game is coming to Sony’s current-gen platform. The reason this is so important is that, for all intents and purposes, the PS5 should be releasing next year. Guilty Gear may have ended up being a launch title.
If you can’t wait until next year to play the game, then you’re in luck. Arc System Works will have a demo present at the ArcRevo World Tour Finals this November. Located at the UC Irvine Student Center in Irvine, California, this will be the public’s first chance to get hands-on time with the latest installment of the series. A bunch of other games will be present, including BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle Special Edition, so you won’t be hurting for games to try. You can find out more info over on Arc System’s website.
