Your beta creation could become a preset in the final game
Team Ninja is running an open beta for Nioh 2 on PS4 starting this Friday, November 1, and I figured we could all use the reminder. I’m incredibly ready to slice up more folklore-inspired creeps. I know some of you were down on the original game’s rather drawn-out nature, but I adored the long grind and wasn’t too bothered by the sense of repetition – not even across multiple New Game Plus playthroughs.
One of the big changes for the sequel is a character creator, and to that end, Team Ninja is hosting a character contest for the Nioh 2 beta that’ll put the winning designs in the game as preset options.
Three male and three female characters will make the cut. To participate, you just need to design a memorable character, share the design on Twitter using the in-game uploader, and include the hashtag “#Nioh2b_contest” in the comment box. Your image will automatically have a code associated with it.
I get the distinct feeling that we’re going to see a lot of 2B nods. (Not that I’m complaining.)
Aside from bragging rights, the six contest winners will also have their names listed in the Nioh 2 credits. The deadline is November 10, 2019 – the same day the beta is scheduled to close.
It’d be swell to see a Destructoid reader win this thing. You’re a creative bunch.
