A 100-tile design challenge
Much can be said about the despair-filled real-world housing market, but in the carefree realm of The Sims 4, tiny homes seem fun as hell. It’s all sunshine, lollipops, and rainbows. Players have latched onto the downsizing trend as an interesting design constraint where every single piece needs a specific purpose and place. Now, it’s official: The Sims 4 is getting a Tiny Living add-on pack later this month.
With a Tiny Home Residential Lot, you’ll have just 100 tiles to work with. It’ll be a tight squeeze, but at least the sleeping situation is covered – you can tuck a murphy bed out of sight and out of mind.
Other new Tiny Living items include a stereo/TV/bookshelf combo, a quaint little sink, “sleek furniture with a pop of color,” and more Create a Sim apparel like a dress shirt and “chunky knits.”
The Sims 4 Tiny Living is launching first for PC and Mac on January 21, 2020, followed by PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on February 4, 2020. As a reminder, these “Stuff Packs” cost $10 a pop.
