I’m convinced that the average Mario modder is a complete nutjob. Not because he or she wants to mod the classic game, which is just fine. It’s the WAY the games are modded that makes me doubt the complete sanity of these people. That’s ok though, because I’m sure the indignant exclamations of “WTF???” would be greatly reduced without their existance.
In the above Mario mod, the player uses his hand to guide Mario along and navigate obstacles. Seems less functional than simply using a controller, so personally it doesn’t appeal to me until about 2 minutes into the video, which is when you can’t help but utter some expletitives. I won’t ruin it for you. Just watch it for yourself.
(I forgot to mention the delightful rendition of the theme song, which I find quite pleasing.)
