Stand up to get knocked down
If you’re looking for trouble, you’ve come to the right place, as Gearbox releases its third character introduction cinematic for upcoming looter shooter Borderlands 3. Having already made our acquaintance with the sharp-shooting Zane and the mech-riding Moze, this new video focuses on justice bringer and keeper of the abs, Amara.
Amara is a defender of the people, the best person to have on your side in a throwdown. Her name and reputation as a fierce warrior has spread throughout the wasteland, making her something of a celebrity to the civilians of the ramshackle towns of Borderlands. Unfortunately, her prowess in combat has also kept the enemy away, making a good ruck hard to find for this hero of the people.
As a Siren class, Amara favours “phase” power over the bombs and bullets of her brethren, dropping foes with astral projections of giant arms and fists. She is also equipped with a mighty ground-pound, for when things get a little cramped, and can even fix her opposition in place, literally setting up for the knockout blow. Amara is a cool looking gal, with style and confidence, and I’m looking forward to checking her out, as is our own Darren Nakamura.
Borderlands 3 launches September 13 on PS4, PC, and Xbox One.
