What looks awesome?
It’s nearly the end of the year, which means it’s nearly 2020, which means it’s nearly time for one of the most exciting events in video games. Awesome Games Done Quick 2020 kicks off in just under three months, so it’s time to see which games will be done quickly.
The full list of games (but not the schedule) was released today, and there are some really interesting entrants. Some newer titles that will be speedrun are: Subnautica, Cadence of Hyrule, Fire Emblem: Three Houses, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, and Destiny 2‘s Last Wish raid. Of course, the classics are well-represented too; there’s plenty of Zelda, Mario, Mega Man, and Sonic.
The longest game done quick? That honor goes to a run of Final Fantasy VIII that’s going to take just a bit less than nine hours. Or, you could look to someone who’s going to play every Fallout game one after another (sans Fallout 76) for more than 10 hours. There sure are some long blocks.
Peruse the list and figure out what you need to see. Animorphs and The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle and Friends are getting circled, highlighted, and triple underlined on my calendar.
