What is it with Japanese publishers being nice to the UK for a change? First came the blessed multi-region treat that was Lost Odyssey, now Koei is offering a free Japanese art book to those who pre-order Dynasty Warriors 6 through GAME. I can’t help thinking that Japan is lulling Europe into a false sense of security.
I’m not a fan of GAME by any stretch of the imagination (any game store that would pull Manhunt in the wake of a sensationalist news report is a traitor to its own) but I would recommend this particular pre-order to any British DW fans. Even I’m tempted, and I have a copy secured already (checking the mail eagerly every morning as I do). I own the art book for Dynasty Warriors 5, and I can confirm they’re excellent tomes, despite the Japanese writing that I cannot understand in all my cultural ignorance.
If you’re in the US, I know of no such pre-order deal, but despair not. At least DW fans across the pond get the game this Tuesday. Destructoid will be reviewing the biggest cultural event since Dio’s Holy Diver as soon as we get our grimy talons on our copy.
[Thanks, yet again, to my friends at Koei Warriors]
