Isabelle in training for rematch
Despite middling reviews, Electronic Arts’ UFC 4 has successfully debuted at the number one spot of the UK Charts, with the MMA simulator pushing Nintendo’s Animal Crossing: New Horizons off of the top spot and into second place.
A very quiet week for new releases saw little change across the board, as Sony’s Ghost of Tsushima, Codemasters’ F1 2020, and Nintendo releases Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Paper Mario: The Origami King, and Ring Fit Adventure continue to jostle for position within the Top Ten.
As we head into September, publishers will start to push out their big releases for the holiday season. Given the looming next generation of consoles, as well as the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, it will be interesting to see how the current climate affects customer behaviour during the year’s most lucrative sales period.
