Nicalis has announced that Repentance, the long-awaited final expansion for miserable adventure The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth, will be making its debut on the PC platform March 31, with console editions to follow some time later down the line.

It’s been a wait, but Nicalis has assured fans that The Binding of Isaac: Repentance will be more than worth it. Described by the publisher as “Bigger than a sequel”, Repentance will feature new story chapters, extra playable characters, new challenges and achievements, and over 100 new items and enemies – including 25 boss battles. In a press release, Nicalis equates this new content to a whopping 500 hours of gameplay.

The Binding of Isaac: Repentance will be the final update to Ed McMillen’s darkly comic adventure, which first launched on PS4, PS Vita, and PC back in 2014, and has since been ported to numerous other platforms including Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and mobile devices. To date, The Binding of Isaac and its Rebirth expansion have sold over five million copies combined.
