PAX 2008: Here’s what Microsoft is showing at PAX 2008

PAX is just three days away now (ZOMG) and Microsoft has finalized what they’ll be showing off at PAX.

The biggest title of the bunch is Gears of War 2. The multiplayer mode will be available for hands-on play and this is will be the first time the multiplayer mode has been made open to the public to try out. Joshua Ortega, the lead writer for the game, and Pete Hayes, artist for the game, will both be around from 1-2 PM every day of PAX to sign special Gears of War 2 posters.

Next up, Fable II will out for the public to try out and this marks the first time the game has been made available for the public in North America.

Halo Wars will also be on the show floor, but sadly, it’s not going to be hands-on. Graeme Devine, lead writer for the game, will be conducting live demos of Halo Wars from 10:00 to 10:15 on Saturday and Sunday.

Checking out the Gamerscore Blog, it looks like Project Origin will also be around in some form. GSB also lists “New Xbox Experience” and “TBA” in Microsoft’s lineup. I wonder what Microsoft has in store for us for the TBA slot. Could they be revealing a brand new title?

I’m kind of surprised that the new Banjo-Kazooie game won’t be around. I’m sure a lot of people would want to get their hands on that. And hey, while we’re at it, check out the Halo Wars box art that was released today in the gallery below.

So which one of you will I be chainsawing in Gears 2?
