What’s better than a Web site that opens to images of floating chunks of human remains floating in space? That’s easy: A Dead Space Web site that opens to images of floating chunks of human remains floating in space!
No Known Survivors is a site that allows you to explore the narrative world of EA’s upcoming horror title, Dead Space. From the release:
Over nine weeks, the site employs interactive components, 3D animations, voice acting, original video and animation, as well as Papervision 3D technology to tell two equally tragic four chapter stories. The First, “Misplaced Affection”, is the story of an organ replacement technician who falls hard for a capable female security officer. The second, “13”, tells of a sleeper agent who makes the wrong decisions for the right reasons.
We’ll see two stories, eight chapters, and an intermission unfold over the next nine weeks. Each of the floating body parts represents a content release. A week before that content release, one of the parts will begin to mutate, eventually turning into a Necromorph. Awesome.
What? You still don’t know what a Necromorph is? Oh, then you need to read Hamza’s hands-on with Dead Space.
