Climb Every Mountain…
Good morning, good day, good weekend, and welcome to Whatcha Been Playing? I hope that the past week has found you well — I know that mid-January can be a little rough on the ol’ noodle — and that the coming weekend brings you some good fun, good times, and 68.7 billion dollars. What do I have to tell you? Not a whole lot. The cold snap has cold snapped my patella, so I’m currently a bit more hobbly than I’d like to be. I guess I’m just practicing for my inevitable run as a crotchety, curtain-twitching, perpetually grumpy old man… yelling at clouds…
PLOT TWIST: That’s already me, right now. So get off my lawn.
In regards to gaming, I’m bouncing between a few titles. The eternal struggle of being a Juri main continues in Street Fighter V, and the long hard road out of hell is throwing up many roadblocks in Hades. But, in my role as The Industry’s Chris Moyse, I need to tell you about this red-hot new game I started that I think will be a hit. It’s called “Celeste” (“Sell Est“) and it’s a Super Meat Boy style platformer. I’m having a really good time with it, and I think you should play it now. Get in on the ground floor for once, y’know? We’re going to the moon, here. And, when Celeste finally blows up, then you’ll be grateful that yer boy Moyse brought you the hot scoop.
But, before you use this spot of insider trading to get yourself up that kool kidz ladder, I’d appreciate it if you took a few minutes to dive into the comments and share with us all the games that you have been enjoying this week. They can be as contemporary as Celeste or as old school as Elden Ring, all that matters is that you join the conversation. We are a very friendly people, perhaps the Very Friendlist, so come be part of the Whatcha Been Playing party. We have fun here.
Have a wonderful weekend, from all of us at Destructoid.
