You and whose army?
Fans of the Dynasty Warriors franchise can get a taste of the series newest entry, Dynasty Warriors 9 Empires, courtesy of a brand new demo now available to download on PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch. The demo comes just a fortnight away from the sequel’s severely delayed release of February 15.
The playable preview will give wannabee-warlords a taste of several of the new game’s features. A limited version of the Edit Mode will let players design and customize their own in-game officers, before taking said warriors into battle in the various tutorial scenarios for Empires’ Castle Sieges. Storm the well-defended base of operations, or hold the fort against the invaders yourself.
This trial mode will offer up insights into Dynasty Warriors 9 Empires‘ unique blend of chaotic action and master strategy, while also giving players a taste of the intricacies of its customization options and deep lore. Two points of note, Koei Tecmo has stated that the demo sees the title auto set to one of its higher difficulties, so anyone struggling will be able to turn down the heat on the final release. Also, the save file will be converted to the main game, so any officers you build in the demo should be ready to roll out in the final release immediately.
Already available in Japan, Dynasty Warriors 9 Empires will launch on PlayStation, PC (Steam), Xbox, and Nintendo Switch platforms in the west on February 25. On my signal, unleash hell.
