There’s a lot of talk about “evil” publishers nickel-and-diming consumers through microtransactions, Electronic Arts among them. But perhaps proving that they’re not the “big bad,” EA are have announced a new, free mode for Battlefield: Bad Company on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, “Conquest.”
From EA:
Made famous by Battlefield 1942™, Conquest mode pits players against each other in a fast paced battle to eliminate the opposing team’s tickets. Players deplete their opponent’s tickets by one point per kill and can cause their opponent’s tickets to spiral downwards by capturing control points. Four maps that are currently available for online play in Gold Rush mode will be available to conquer with Conquest mode.
The new, fancy mode will be available this Thursday, August 7. Oh, and did we mention it’s free? Yeah, we’re cheap and that kind of talk excites us.
