It seems like it’s borrowing some classic musou aesthetics
If you want some new Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes screens, a few more just debuted thanks to the Amazon Japan listing [via Nintendo Life]. And I mean, I absolutely do want more info on this one! Ever since it debuted a few months ago all we’ve had to work with is the trailer, and these three new screens.
First up is the map. It has extreme Fire Emblem Warriors 1 plus Age of Calamity vibes, with the classic Fire Emblem sprites in tow. Once again it looks like you can order troops in battle, and the layouts look fairly simplistic in nature, which is to be expected this subseries. The mission select screen in the second image looks similarly familiar, and the “grinding out levels for materials” mechanic seems to be back.
Finally, the third of the Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes screens shows off a story bit, and food will once again be front and center in a Fire Emblem game, just the way God intended. As a reminder this version will feature a new story, and will not serve as an Age of Calamity time-bending prequel game for Fire Emblem: Three Houses.
In any case, they should funnel neatly into one another. Even just seeing some of these characters return is enough for me to want to boot up Three Houses and hang out with the gang again. Eventually it’ll come time to do all four paths again.
