As of today, May 10, 2022
Today Nintendo released its financial results for the fiscal year ending in March 2022, and as usual, it contains a few nuggets of info, among confirmations and reconfirmed release dates. According to the document, Bayonetta 3 2022 is still the plan.
It feels like it’s been a lifetime since it was teased, and the time has come to finally get it out into the world. Eight months ago the reveal trailer slapped a “2022” window on the game at the end, and as of today, they’re seemingly going to stick with that unless something catastrophic happens.
Here is everything Nintendo confirmed today in terms of 2022 Switch release dates:
- Mario Strikers Battle League – June 10
- Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes – June 24
- Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak – June 30
- Xenoblade Chronicles 3 – July 29
- Splatoon 3 – September 9
- Pokemon Scarlet/Violet – Late 2022
- Bayonetta 3 – 2022
The Bayonetta 3 2022 reconfirmation wasn’t the only thing of note. Of course, those are just the marquee games that Nintendo wanted to promote the most: there are other titles coming out in 2022 and beyond. In the document, Breath of the Wild 2 still has a “spring 2023” window, Metroid Prime 4 is still “TBA,” and Advance Wars 1+2 Re-Boot Camp is still in a “TBA” state.
