Cabela’s Dangerous Hunts 2009 was released today, but oddly enough this is the first time the game’s been shown in video form, as far as I know.
While the trailer above is no Duke Nukem Trilogy trailer, it does a fine job of showing the many ways you can die in Dangerous Hunts 09 without actually showing any death.
Additionally, the attached press release spells out a number of in-game death scenarios unrelated to being mauled by an animal, such as plane crashes, avalanches, and drowning. How uplifting.
So then, what can we gather about Cabela’s Dangerous Hunts 2009 from this information? If you like hunting and are especially fond of dying, it could be the game for you. You might even say it’s awfully awesome.
Or it could just be plain awful. I’m not willing to drop $40 to find out.
