If Wii Fit is not exactly your cup of tea but you are interested in other things that the Wii Balance Board cold be handy for, this may be relevant to your interests. Studio Zan is developing a WiiWare title called Overturn, in which you play a giant mech and battle other mecha. Not the world’s coolest looking robots, maybe, but apparently you use the balance board to control them. There are no details on whether or not that is the only control option just yet (but I’d assume it isn’t).
Overturn is scheduled for a Japanese release in November, with no word on whether the US will see it or not. My balance board is sitting in the closet collecting dust, so I’d like to hope we will see more options in the future to play games with it. I could tell you Im waiting with breathless anticipation for Shaun White Snowboarding, but let’s face it. I’d be lying.
