(But Guilds and the Store still aways away)
MultiVersus director and Player First Games developer Tony Hyunh — a man who has proven to be welcomingly exciteable in regards to their title — has teased a new update for the crossover-tastic platform fighter. The update will arrive on all platforms at some point within the next week.
Hi, the team is working to get Guilds and the Store, but it will still be a little bit out. Our main focus is still core systems, stability, and bug fixes. The patch next week will be one of our biggest ones yet, which adds a lot of cool things. We're getting closer everyday.

Asked by YouTuber AngryJoe when the in-game store would be open for business, Huynh responded, noting that while both the store and Guilds were currently on the docket, neither was considered a top priority for the title over aspects such as character balance, online stability, and bug stomping. It’s worth remembering that, despite having entered its first season, MultiVersus is still technically in open beta, and, as such, is currently operating as a “work-in-progress” title.
Hyunh did note that the new update, which will roll out sometime next week, will contain “cool things” — though stopped short of giving details. the player base is currently expecting new modes such as Arcade and Ranked Online, as well as season one characters Rick (Rick & Morty), Black Adam (DC Comics), and Stripe (Gremlins) but, for now, it looks like we’ll just have to wait and see what September brings.
MultiVersus is currently available in open beta on PlayStation, PC, and Xbox platforms.
