UPDATE: In WoW 10.2, the new Sparks of Life PvP quest in Emerald Dream does in fact give Dream Warden rep
Now that the final content patch of World of Warcraft: Dragonflight is here, WoW 10.2 has added a new PvP quest in the Emerald Dream to gather Sparks of Life. If you complete the first part of the new Guardians of the Dream main story questline, titled Enter the Dream, you will gain access to the Emerald Dream.
This new zone allows you to obtain Sparks of Life simply by PvPing against others in the zone. However, even though you can PvP openly when in War Mode in the Emerald Dream, there is a very quick and easy way to farm your 100 Sparks for the PvP quest.
If you look at the screenshot below, the place highlighted in red on the map is a platform with a graveyard on it. People are constantly engaging in all-out chaotic PvP there, since when you die you respawn almost instantly. Simply join a group of four others on the same quests and you will have your 100 Sparks in just a few minutes. Make sure you turn in the quest to get the easy Dream Wardens reputation as well!

You’ve seen it before: the dreaded weekly “collection” quest in MMOs. WoW: Dragonflight has them too, and that includes Sparks of Life farming. Here’s what they do, and how to collect them.
Step one: Pick up the weekly quest
In a roundabout way, the Sparks of Life questline will provide you with Trophies of Strife (among other rewards), which in turn can be used to acquire PVP gear. That’s their main purpose. The questline for Sparks of Life can be acquired after finishing the main Dragonflight storyline. It’s considered a postgame event.
There are two options to kick things off, from the NPC Keenu in Valdrakken (location in the image above, at coordinates 42.7, 40.4):
- Sparks of Life: The Azure Span
- Sparks of Life: Ohn’ahran Plains
Step two: Earn them by doing most regular activities
You will need to be in War Mode to collect Sparks of Life: it’s important to know that right off the bat.
Your job is to earn 200 Sparks of Life in the accompanying locations through the following methods:
- World PVP
- World Quests (finite)
- Killing rare mobs
- PVP supply chests
- Disturbed dirt pile looting
- Expedition Scout Pack scouring
After you have enough, turn the quest back in for your reward.
