A pipe dream
For some players, the best part about playing games like Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 and Modern Warfare 2 is perching up on a vantage point and one-hit sniping any enemies that come within view of their sights. If that’s you, you need to know about the best one-shot Victus XMR build for Warzone 2.0 and MW2.
Can you make a one-shot Victus XMR build in Warzone 2.0 and MW2?
First off, you might be wondering if it is even possible to make a true one-shot build for the Victus XMR sniper rifle. Unfortunately, this isn’t the case. It is possible to one-shot an enemy with this rifle, but it requires you to generally hit them in the upper torso or with a direct headshot.
There is no true one-shot build for the Victus XMR, or any other sniper for that matter, like there was for the event-specific Shillelagh blueprint. That was a one-time weapon blueprint that only a single player could earn in a battle royale match. It could one-shot opponents no matter where they hit them, be it the head or even foot.
However, it is impossible to make that exact build currently in the game. As such, all sniper rifles have the capability of one-hit KO’ing someone with a headshot, but that’s it. Outside of that, it generally takes two to even three shots to down someone anywhere else on the body.
Best Victus XMR Warzone 2.0 and MW2 build
While it isn’t possible to make a true one-shot Victus XMR build, that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t use this gun. It is one of the best sniper rifles for both battle royale and multiplayer. If you’re looking to add the Victus XMR to your loadout, here is the best version you can make.
This is the best Victus XMR loadout that works for both Warzone 2.0 and MW2:
- Barrel: Mack 8 33.5 Super
- Stock: XRK Rise 50
- Rear Grip: Bruen Q900 Grip
- Ammo: .50 Cal High Velocity
- Optic: SP-X 80 6.6x or VLK 4.0
Note that there is a little bit of room for customization here. For one, the optic attachment is based on your preference. In general, something like the SP-X 6.6x will work well in battle royale since you will be able to see enemies from rather far away.
Anything further zoomed in than that will be overkill and make it hard to land shots. On the other hand, the VLK 4.0x optic works well in battle royale for those who don’t struggle at all with accuracy. In addition, this is the better option for the smaller maps in multiplayer.
Finally, you could switch out something like the rear grip attachment for a laser attachment like the VLK LZR 7MW. However, I am not generally a fan of lasers since they unnecessarily give away your position.
