The events of Resident Evil 4 remake take place in 2004. We follow the footsteps of Leon Kennedy, who survived the apocalyptic events in Raccoon City and escaped the government’s bombing of the area in Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3The horrific journey in Resident Evil 4 is six years afterwards. With his experience and training, Leon now works for STRATCOM, a task force assigned to deal with extreme threats like Umbrella.

Now, he hopes that this mission won’t be as costly as the citizens’ lives in Raccoon City while he tries to save U.S. President Graham’s daughter Ashley.

The Resident Evil 4 remake location

The events of the Resident Evil 4 remake are located in a rural village in Spain; in a far-off region of the country. There have been reports of missing people in this village, including some hikers. As one of the characters in the game puts it, “It’s as close to nowhere [they] have ever seen.” It’s rather unfortunate what happens to the policemen that escort Leon Kennedy to this area. Despite the title of Resident Evil Village and its similar scenery, that game actually is set in a different European country Romania.

Now, you know the answer to when Resident Evil 4 takes place and where it’s located.
