We gonna step up 2 tha streets
As part of today’s Street Fighter 6 Showcase stream, Capcom announced that it is launching a demo for PS5, giving eager World Warriors the opportunity to check out the single-player adventure campaign, World Tour, one of the many new features that will make up the highly anticipated new release.
The demo, which should be available to download this evening, will let you make up an avatar — which in SF6 rules must have a tiny head, tank-wide thighs, and luminescent, borderline-radioactive skin — before taking a few steps into Metro City as the new student and protege of the one cast member you would never choose to hang out with: Luke.
The demo will allow players to explain the main square of the city, meeting the locals, and then beating the locals in a few “nothing personal” street assaults. This demo will also allow new fans to check out the Modern Control options and get to grips with the general flow of the fight. In the full release, this adventure mode will let players get to grips with many aspects of Street Fighter 6, from basic movement and attacks to new mechanics such as Drive Impact and Drive Rush. You’ll also be able to do a lot of shopping — the true path of the World Warrior.
Oh, and be sure to say hi to Alice, your new favorite Street Fighter weirdo.
The Street Fighter 6 World Tour demo is available now on PS5, it will launch on PC and Xbox Series X on April 26. Street Fighter 6 launches on PlayStation, PC, and Xbox platforms June 2, 2023.
