The launch of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is nearly here, and it’s setting the internet ablaze with previews. To read more about the hotly anticipated sequel to 2019’s Fallen Order, check out our review right here. Naturally, the popularity of the first game has people wondering if Jedi Survivor will appear on Xbox Game Pass.

Unfortunately for those wanting to play at launch, Jedi Survivor will not be on Game Pass from day one. However, that’s not the end of the discussion when it comes to Jedi Survivor eventually coming to Game Pass.

When will Jedi Survivor be on Game Pass?

Since November 2020, anyone who subscribes to Xbox Game Pass also gets access to EA’s subscription service, EA Play. Therefore, many older EA titles become available on Game Pass, and new games typically join the lineup sometime after launch. For example, anyone who hasn’t played the first Star Wars Jedi game, Fallen Order, can play it right now on Game Pass via the bundled EA Play subscription.

The timeframe for when games get added to EA Play varies between titles, so there’s no telling when Jedi Survivor will arrive on Game Pass. Some games will appear as soon as 6 months after release. However, if Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is anything to go by, the wait for Jedi Survivor will likely take longer than that. The original game was added to EA Play and Game Pass almost exactly one year after launch. We can expect a similar timeframe for Jedi Survivor coming to Game Pass too.

Unfortunately, there’s also no 10-hour game trial for Jedi Survivor. Many EA titles feature a 10-hour trial prior to joining Game Pass, but EA hasn’t announced anything on this front. Game trials typically become available at launch or even prior to the official release date so players can check out a good chunk of the game before buying.

If you really can’t wait, it’s possible to get Jedi Survivor on EA’s PC-only EA Play Pro service. EA Play Pro isn’t available on PlayStation or Xbox consoles, but it works similarly to the regular EA Play subscription with the added benefit that all EA games are available from day one. EA Play Pro is available as a standalone subscription on PC for $19.99/€14.99 per month or $129.99/€99.99 for a year.
