The longest Diablo storyline yet
After you reach Kyovashad in the snowy Fractured Peaks in Diablo 4, things really start to open up. The game can really be quite overwhelming, with the plethora of Story Quests, Side Quests, and Optional Dungeons available to you. The world map is massive and with it comes many regions to explore filled with towns, strongholds, dungeons, and more. With so many options, you may be wondering: How many acts are in Diablo 4?
How many acts are in Diablo 4?
In total, there are six acts in Diablo 4. At the start of the core narrative, you have access to quests throughout the first three acts. Each of the acts leads you through a separate region of Sanctuary. As you progress through the acts you will explore more of the region and gain access to more towns and dungeons.
Is there more?
The six acts aren’t all that Diablo 4 has to offer. First off, there is a quick Prologue that introduces you to the game. Also, completing Act VI will also grant access to the Epilogue of the game: a brief follow-up to the current story of Diablo 4. It will take you about 30 hours to complete the campaign and finish all acts, but there’s plenty more content awaiting you. After finishing the campaign you will have only be around level 40-50. The endgame features two more World Tiers, Nightmare Dungeons, World Bosses, Paragon Boards, Fields of Hatred (PvP), and more to continue your journey in Sanctuary.
More Diablo 4 to come
Additionally, even if you manage to hit level 100 and explore all that Diablo 4 currently has to offer, more is on the horizon. Associate game director Joe Piepiora says there will be quarterly updates to the game. This will come in the form of seasons, with each update including additional story content. This is a step up from Diablo 3 which only added more actual story to the game with the Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls expansion. With each season more mechanics and features built around the ever-growing world of Sanctuary will be added to the game.
