Keeping the Old Traditions is so easy, it’s hard

Most quests in Diablo 4 feature straightforward solutions, but it’s not afraid to throw curveballs here and there. Keeping the Old Traditions is a perfect example of this. Fortunately, you’ll easily clear this quest once you know what it wants from you.

You’ll find Keeping the Old Traditions in the Dry Stepps region. To get to it, either travel northeast from the Jirandai Waypoint or southwest from the Hidden Outlook Waypoint. It will appear right on the map with a blue exclamation mark, so you can’t miss it. Here’s how to complete this quest.

How to show the ancient statues you keep the traditions

Right off the bat, you’ll want to go to the marked area on your map after you pick up the quest. Fortunately, you won’t have to travel far. We’re specifically looking for a statue built into the cliffside with some candles in front of it. You can’t miss it.

To finish this quest, stand in front of the statue and open your emote window. If you need a refresher on how this works, check out our guide here. We want to use the “Yes” emote in front of the statue, which you may need to bind to your emote wheel. Console players will want to press the Y or Triangle button with their wheel open to map other emotes. PC players just need to click the “Customize” button.

Once you map and use the “Yes” emote, a treasure chest will appear nearby. Open it and you’ll instantly resolve the quest and earn a couple rewards. Enjoy the extra Renown!
