Recreating your loadouts can be a pain
When it comes to creating a smooth and lovely Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 or Warzone 2 experience, there are some elements that you should never have to worry about. For instance, your loadouts should always be there for you so you can immediately jump into matches. However, some players are dealing with an MW2 and Warzone 2 loadout glitch that is quite frustrating.
How to fix the MW2 and Warzone 2 loadout resetting glitch
The MW2 and Warzone 2 loadout reset glitch involves you suddenly losing access to one or more of your saved weapon loadouts. The most annoying part about this is having to recreate the weapons you prefer and tweak them in the Gunsmith with all of the right attachments you had before.
This is doubly frustrating if you finely tune each attachment to a specific setting. If you run into an issue where one or more of your loadouts has reset in Modern Warfare 2 or Warzone 2, unfortunately, you’ll have to recreate it from scratch.
As of right now, there is no universal fix from Infinity Ward to address this problem. It is a recurring issue that first began near MW2’s launch and has popped up randomly ever since. Until a permanent solution is found, you’ll have to keep recreating your loadouts.
That said, there are a couple of ways to make this easier. For one, if you lose your loadouts, be sure to screenshot that and then submit a support ticket to Activision. This can possibly help in the mission to find the cause behind this issue and permanently resolve it.
In addition, I suggest taking a separate screenshot of each individual loadout you have and making copies of them, too. Whenever I encountered this issue, it was usually only one loadout that was affected—typically the first one.
As such, I recommend making duplicates of your loadouts. For me, I have a core assault rifle loadout with a trophy system for objective modes and another nearly identical version with Dead Silence. Since they are almost exactly the same, if I lose one of them, I can always copy and instantly have access to it again.
Why do my classes keep resetting?
As for why your loadouts keep resetting, that is, unfortunately, unknown for now until the problem is identified. That said, what I’ve noticed is that this seems to happen after major updates in the game, such as a new season.
I’ve also only seen this occur to me with my loadouts for the general multiplayer in Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2. I have yet to see this happen to the more restrictive Ranked Play loadouts I have but never say never. Hopefully, a more permanent fix will be released soon.
