We’ll update this page as soon as more einfo comes in, here’s everything we know so far
Diablo 4 has launched with a ton of content already. Even after completing the story campaign, you still have a lot of gameplay ahead of you. You’ll have many dungeons to clear, dozens of side quests to complete, and plenty of bosses to farm for loot. But even with Diablo 4‘s already massive trove of content, Blizzard has confirmed the game will continue to get new updates and features via a popular Action-RPG system: Seasons.
We’ve gathered as much information as we can for you in regard to the Diablo 4 season 1 release date & details.
When is the Diablo 4 season 1 release date?
While Blizzard hasn’t confirmed an exact release date for season 1 of Diablo 4, we can calculate a pretty concrete estimate based on the information they have provided. In the Diablo 4 Developer Update Live Stream from May, the developers confirmed they expected season 1 to release about six weeks after the launch of the game. With Diablo 4 launching on June 6, that puts us in the middle of July, potentially July 18.
Historically, Blizzard likes to release things on Tuesday, so it’s quite possible we see season 1 on July 18. With that date rapidly approaching, I’d expect us to get some news on the upcoming season soon. Once it releases, we know Blizzard plans to release a new season quarterly.
What can we expect from Diablo 4 season 1?
Once again, nothing definite has been confirmed by Blizzard to be released in Diablo 4 season 1. But, we can once again piece together what to expect based on what they have stated so far. First off, the developers have already confirmed they intend for seasons to be more meaningful than they were in Diablo III. Each new season will bring new content, features, and even story. It’s recommended players finish the campaign at least once, as it will be required to access season 1.
We know the first seasonal battle pass will launch alongside season 1. Even though the cosmetic rewards unlocked via the pass can be used on all characters, you can only progress the pass on a seasonal character.
Even though it can be daunting having to create a new character with each season, do not worry. All characters will move to the Eternal Server with the release of each new season. Therefore, you can continue to progress your favorite characters even after a season ends.
