List of Pikmin in Pikmin 4
Nintendo has revealed what Pikmin players can expect in the upcoming game. Many Pikmin will be familiar to series fans, though there are a few newcomers. Here’s what you can expect from the upcoming game:
1. Red Pikmin – These adorable critters are resistant to flames and have powerful attacks.
2. Yellow Pikmin – Yellow Pikmin are useful to have around if you need to reach high places. They are also resistant to electricity, which comes in handy when you’re facing electric obstacles.
3. Blue Pikmin – As their color might suggest, Blue Pikmin thrive in water. Use them when you’re around streams and puddles.
4. Purple Pikmin – Purple Pikmin move slower than the others, but they are very good at carrying heavy objects.
5. White Pikmin – If any enemies try to chomp on White Pikmin, they will discover how poisonous these critters are. White Pikmin are also immune to poison.
6. Rock Pikmin – These Pikmin have a rock-hard exterior, making them the ideal candidates when you need to break through crystal walls.
7. Winged Pikmin – In addition to being cute, the Winged Pikmin can be used to lift objects and blockades.
8. Glow Pikmin – The newly discovered Glow Pikmin shine in the dark, which makes them useful for night expeditions. They can also blind foes by turning into a ball of light.
9. Ice Pikmin – The Ice Pikmin are also newly discovered, and they have the ability to freeze water. This is a good ability to take advantage of when you need to cross a body of water.
The Glow Pikmin are one of the most interesting critters, especially because they will be useful for night expeditions. Nintendo has yet to discuss the ins and outs of the expeditions, though it has been revealed that at night, enemies become frenzied.
You’ll be able to use your tiny helpers in the story mode, as well as in Dandori Battles which have players racing to collect the most items. These battles are a test of organizational skills, and players will have to understand each of the Pikmin and their special abilities to come out on top.
