Best MX Guardian Shotgun loadouts for MW2 and Warzone

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone feature a ton of weapons for players to use in matches to do their best. The shotgun class is one of the most popular for its unstoppable nature up close. When it comes to the MX Guardian shotgun, these are the best loadouts to use in MW2 and Warzone.

At its core, the MX Guardian shotgun is one of the few fully-automatic weapons in its category. A major problem with shotguns is how slow and inaccurate most of them are. The MX Guardian makes up for that in how forgiving and speedy its rate of fire is.

As such, this is the best MX Guardian loadout you want to use for MW2, which takes full advantage of its unique style:

  • Muzzle: Bryson Choke
  • Barrel: MX-G Mobile
  • Underbarrel: Merc Foregrip
  • Magazine: MX Pro Mag
  • Rear Grip: XRK Rush

The main goal here is to create a build that leans into the speedy nature of the shotgun. Since you have close maps with tight corridors and narrow passageways in many multiplayer locations, the shotgun works best when you have it running as fast as it possibly can.

For this reason, I don’t suggest a laser, like with many other weapons, as it can easily give away your position. But this also means you won’t have the accuracy you might get from other weapons and you’ll have to learn to master the recoil problems it has.

On the other hand, if you opt to use the MX Guardian shotgun in Warzone battle royale matches, you’ll want a completely different vibe. Here is the best loadout to create for those particular matches:

  • Muzzle: Bryson Choke
  • Barrel: HYP-LM
  • Underbarrel: Merc Foregrip
  • Ammo: 12 Gauge Slug
  • Rear Grip: Bruen B60

Warzone is a bit of a trickier situation for shotguns than on traditional multiplayer maps. The MX Guardian and other shotguns are best inside buildings, but you have wide open areas on most battle royale maps. As such, the idea here is to get a bit more stability with the weapon for those longer distances.

In addition, the 12 Gauge Slug ammo is impeccable in battle royale. This particular ammunition doesn’t just deal some extra damage to enemies, but it also adds some nice heft and range to your bullets. This build results in a deadly shotgun that isn’t too unwieldy or close-range, unlike its multiplayer counterpart.
