Tom Rhodes’ blog Plan to Fail has been making the Internet rounds this past week. He’s taken various videogame characters and given them more of a realistic touch. For instance, here’s what a brilliant British female archeologist would look like in real life. Lara Croft isn’t so hot anymore now is she?
My personal favorite is the header image above of Sonic and Knuckles. I was never sure what Knuckles was even based on until seeing this version of him. The Pong paddles piece is also pretty amazing.
Tom has more videogame themed art over on his site as well as a nice collection of various art projects like this shark! Keep an eye on Plan to Fail as he plans to make more awesome videogame character themed art soon.
