Fancy PVP? No? Well too bad! You’ll likely need to grind out some PVP to unlock Sylvanas Windrunner faster in Warcraft Rumble. There is another method though: let’s talk about it.
How to unlock Sylvanas Windrunner in Warcraft Rumble
Earn her in PVP Season 1
While the vast majority of Warcraft Rumble‘s content is PVE-oriented, some unlocks are relegated to PVP, including the PVP Season 1 prize of Sylvanas Windrunner: a permanent leader for your account. To play PVP, you’ll need to progress to account level 8, and then select the “PVP” button on the world map.
Much like other Warcraft games, the main currency in PVP is honor. Sylvanas will require a guild score of 10,000 to unlock.
Note that guild scores can be increased by playing and completing Arclight Surges (the blue quests on the world map): which pop up every Sunday and Thursday after the semi-weekly resets. These are the easiest methods for earning points, and if everyone in your guild does them (even smaller guilds), you’ll be able to progress through the reward track swiftly.
Here are some general tips for unlocking Sylvanas:
- Join a guild close to maximum membership (16/16), as multiple guild members can contribute to PVP unlocks, Sylvanas included
- Crank out PVP matches – you’ll earn more points than you might expect (early matches can net you 150 honor each, and full bouts only take a few minutes)
- Focus on acquiring more leaders. The more leaders you have, the easier it’ll be to earn honor, since every leader has a different ranking
- Do Arclight Surges first every Sunday and Thursday, and encourage your guildmates to do them too
One more thing: the 1 PVP season ends the night of December 9, 2023 (at approximately midnight, ET), so you do have some time.

What does Sylvanas Windrunner do in Warcraft Rumble?
True to the source material, Sylvanas will use her bow as a ranged unit and will focus on single-target damage. She grants movement speed boosts to Horde and Undead units, calling upon her Warchief background in World of Warcraft‘s recent lore. Sylvanas can also summon a Banshee upon death, which is an extremely powerful ability that can take over another unit via possession, and completely change the tide of the current battle.
