The Triple Threat can do a lot of work if you set it up right. Quest 4 in Persona 5 Tactica is a good way of learning just how, while also indulging some of Fox’s, er… stranger tendencies.
You can unlock this Quest after getting Yusuke and Makoto back on your side from Marie in her Kingdom section. Yusuke wants to relive the experience of being under Marie’s control, so he can make art of it. I’m still not quite sure how that turns into a battle, but it’s Yusuke. He’s just following the vibes where they go.
For this Quest, you’ll need to clear out all the enemies in one turn. It might seem a bit challenging at first, but you’ll be surprised at how some well-placed One Mores and proper geometry can make this relatively easy work.
It’s all about elevation
For this battle, you’ll have to bring Yusuke and Makoto in you party, plus one extra—I opted for Joker. Your main star here is going to be Yusuke, who’s going to be setting up a lot of your combo.
Have him knock an enemy off the dash pad so he can start moving around the wooden risers, then knock a few more down for good measure.
Ideally, you want to get Yusuke as far out, both back and to the side, as possible so your eventual Triple Threat can cover the most area. Makoto can now sub in and set up a One More as well, using her Nuclear-type magic. It’s essentially a vortex pull, which is extremely useful for repositioning enemies.
Making the triangle
Spread the enemies out, keeping in mind that your third party member—Joker, in my example—will have to serve as the “base,” due to them being trapped by the barrels. Have Yusuke and Makoto spread out far enough, and you should be able to set up a pretty wide Triple Threat.
If done right, and you tagged as many enemies as you could beforehand, you should be able to wipe out most enemies with one good Triple Threat. If anyone is left standing, Joker or another character can tack on the last hit. Don’t get frustrated if you need to reset; I had to do this one a couple times, just to get the order-of-operations pristine.
Quest 4 rewards in Persona 5 Tactica
For completing Quest 4 in Persona 5 Tactica, both Yusuke and Makoto will get 20 GP each. It’s a nice sum to help you with buffing their skills for future fights. Both characters quickly became go-to’s for me after this battle, so I recommend investing some points and time into mastering them.
