Rumors have circulated that there will be a Wonder Woman live service game. With the Lasso of Truth in hand, we now know the answer from the horse’s mouth.
Will there be a Wonder Woman live service game?
Thankfully, Wonder Woman will not be a live service title. The game’s publisher Warner Bros. Games confirmed the news to IGN.
“Wonder Woman is a single-player action-adventure game set in a dynamic open-world,” WB Games said with the announcement. “This third person experience will allow players to become Diana of Themyscira and introduce an original story set in the DC Universe, while also featuring the Nemesis System.”
The confusion came about because of a recent job listing for developer Monolith Studios. It specifically said it’s looking for someone to “help maintain a live service product or game.” The job listing’s since been edited.
Is Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League a live service game?
Rocksteady’s Suicide Squad: KIll the Justice League, however, will be a live service game. It has a bunch of costumes and new content being added to it months after its release. You’ll be in a team of four players, taking on the roles of Harley Quinn, Captain Boomerang, King Shark, and Deadshot.
The reception to the game hasn’t been the greatest. The Suicide Squad Insider 01: Story & Gameplay trailer has around 19,000 dislikes in comparison to the 12,000 likes on PlayStation’s YouTube channel. Hopefully, Wonder Woman can learn from this game’s mistakes.
