Lethal Company is crawling with ungodly horrors that lurk in the dark, but luckily, not all its shrouded mysteries are deadly. There is a secret submarine — or generator — in Lethal Company, and you can find it without something killing you first. Well, maybe.
The “secret submarine” can’t be found on the hostile moons you need to loot in Lethal Company. Instead, you’ll need to go where it’s arguably safe. The submarine is located on the Company moon, so you’ll need to head there if you want to find this hidden Easter egg.
The secret submarine you can find might be a generator or something else in Lethal Company
As mentioned, you need to head to the Company’s moon base to find the sub. If you’re on a moon already, use the throttle or lever to leave the planet and enter space. Next, go to the computer terminal and type in and enter the following:
- “moons”
- “route company”
- “confirm”
The autopilot will take you to the Company moon. Next, pull the level to land, and you’re past the first hurdle.
After landing, look to your left and head toward the large shipping crates. Walk between the two closest to your ship and search for the hatch on the floor. It can be tough to spot due to how dark it is:
Open the hatch and head down the ladder until you reach the metal walkway below. If you want, you can travel to the end of the path, down the stairs, where you’ll find the hidden journal entry: ‘Sound behind the wall – Sep 4’.
You’ll need to go back up the stairs to find the submarine. Once you do, look for the metal beam perpendicular to the walkway. Hop over the rail and walk until the end of the beam:
Very carefully jump to the beam leading away to the left. If you miss, you could drop into the water below and die. Not that I would know.
Next, jump onto the beam continuing the path you were on before:
Hop off the beam and onto the platform to your left. There’s a switch dangling from a long wire. Approach it, and pull the switch.
The lights turn on, letting you see what developer Zeekerss is hiding:
What is this, some kind of tube?
Congrats, you found the secret submarine in Lethal Company! Or, that’s what the community has been calling it. Some are referring it to as a generator as well, likely because the word “BATTERY” is written on its front.
Truth be told, I don’t think anyone but the developer knows what this is yet. Personally, I’m in the generator camp due to the graffiti as well as the broken wire that leads from the device itself. The wire also leads to some other object which has a slot on top. Honestly, this looks like some kind of Myst-like puzzle to solve.
There may be more to the Easter egg than we know. But, for now, it’s a neat mystery that’s fun to find in Lethal Company. It’s also a nice distraction from getting slaughtered by cosmic horrors for the man. Right?
