Born of Bread may sport a cute and cuddly aesthetic you’ll want to play with your pals, but there’s no co-op support yet. As for future plans, we haven’t received official word, but its Steam page explains its features.
Will there be Born of Bread co-op?
Unfortunately, Born of Bread co-op won’t be a feature in the game. You can’t equip a second controller to your console or PC and play it with your friend.
On Born of Bread‘s Steam page, it lists the game as “Single-player” rather than a multiplayer title. Something else to keep in mind is that Born of Bread is a turn-based RPG. Even if it was co-op, I wouldn’t see much point in it.
Is there a Born of Bread demo?
If you want to see if passing the controller around to your friend would make this single-player RPG thrilling, you can try out the demo. It’s available to download on the Nintendo Switch’s eShop, Steam, PlayStation systems, and Xbox systems.
The demo lasts around an hour. It introduces you to the combat, the eccentric story, and the first buddy you’ll meet in the game Lint.
Family-friendly co-op games
Born of Bread co-op isn’t going to be a thing. However, there are certainly some alternatives. If you want a co-op experience with friends and family, Sea of Thieves is a good choice. You’re trying to manage a pirate ship, trying to find treasure, and taking on quests in a whimsical world.
Another co-op game you should try is Moving Out 2. You’re working together to move in and out personal belongings. The gameplay mechanics get silly as you’re trying to move animals into their pens and trying to move heavy couches across moving platforms. The cutesy art style from Moving Out 2 is also eccentric, just like Born of Bread.
