In each subsequent season of Fortnite, there are a number of new features and activities to engage in whenever you aren’t busy battling your friends and strangers. In Season 5: Chapter 1, there are eight well-hidden weapon cases scattered across the map, and we’re going to find them.
I say they’re well-hidden because each marked location is pointing only to the general area where the case can be found. And, when you’re fighting for your life, it can be tough to make time for a treasure hunt, no matter how impressive the rewards might be. I say the markers aren’t exact, but one way to know where you’re going when boots hit the ground is to look for the Underground’s graffiti arrows, which will point you in the direction of the weapon cases.
Where to find all weapons cases in Fortnite Chapter 5: Season 1
As mentioned, as of writing there are only eight weapon cases to be found across the island. Additionally, when you factor in the rapidly approaching storm, you don’t have a lot of time to find one (or more). So, plan your strategy and approach, and then descend upon the case you’d like to loot.
Rebel’s Roost
In Rebel’s Roost, navigate to the large mansion with a car, a reboot van, and a bounty board in the front yard. Head into the house via the elongated staircase, and almost immediately you’ll see a graffiti arrow pointing you to the next staircase ahead of you. Head to the next floor and you’ll see another arrow, this time pointing right. But, don’t make a hard right — make a u-turn into the hallway and enter the door at its end. If you’re lost, look for the hallway with the covered-up sofa and a crate near the door.
Classy Courts
In Classy Courts, locate a large cabin to the east of the words “Classy Courts” on the map. It’s on the shore of a lake and has a ladder resting against the front gutter. You’ll know you’re in the right place if you go inside and see and hear a DJ booth pumping jams— it’s Fortnite, I’ve stopped asking. Go through the door to the left of the DJ booth, and you’ll enter a side-yard with tables and a port-a-potty.
I found the room with several weapon cases by taking a hard right here, heading down the short path, and breaking into a room with windows blocked by stacked boxes. I suppose there’s a reason for the stacked boxes, because in this room I found a red room with cases containing an Iron Warrior Hammer Pump Shotgun, a Cover Fire Hyper SMG, and an Eagle Eye Reaper Sniper Rifle.
Ritzy Riviera
I’ll admit, this one absolutely stumped me, but in the end, I found it. To find this weapons cache, navigate to the street with a reboot van, then cross the street, walking away from the reboot van. Enter the orange building’s archway, but don’t climb the staircase! Take an immediate left (it’s possible you can take an immediate right and end up at the same location, but I didn’t test that) and follow the hallway to its end. There’s a door here that will lead you to the Ritzy Riviera weapon case room.
Reckless Railways
To find this cache, venture into the town surrounding the train station until you find a building with an open garage. Head inside and through the opposing door, which will place you in a back area with the door that leads to the weapon cases. Head down the stairs, then down a small hallway to reach the room itself. It’s next to one of the sewer entrances, so if you’re being pursued, use it to escape quickly!
Ruined Reels
From the very top of the amphitheater, face the stage and turn to the right. You’ll see a doorway directly ahead of you, and just inside this area is a stack of boxes that can be broken to reveal the weapon cases.
Pleasant Piazza
There are two cache rooms that I would associate with Pleasant Piazza: one is located in Pleasant Piazza, but the other is all the way to the island’s west coast.
To find the first, head to the south of the area’s name on your map until you find an orange building with an air conditioning unit inside of an enclosed patio. Inside this building is a pitfall where you can descend to find a subway station. At the far-end of the walkway, you’ll find the weapon cases you seek.
The second can be found, as mentioned, all the way to the island’s west coast. Navigate to this general area and you’ll find a small house, and it’s hard to miss the graffiti arrow inside pointing you further into the depths. Here, you’ll find the doorway leading to the second weapon case room of the area.
Hazy Hillside
It’s kind of difficult to explain specifically where this one is located because there aren’t many landmarks around it. But, the best advice I could impart is to follow the sides of the large, stone wall. If you do, and if you’re looking thoroughly, you’ll find the door you need to take on the outer edge, in an alley near some shrubbery, with a firewood supply across from it.
