Initially, Palworld will launch on PC and Xbox Series X|S. In the launch FAQ, Pocket Pair states that there currently is no plans to release a PS5 version. Furthermore, at launch, there will be no crossplay between PC and Xbox platforms, though that is something that the team wishes to implement.

If you’re playing on PC, these are the system requirements as listed on the Steam store page:

Minimum

  • OS: Windows 10 or later (64-Bit)
  • Processor: i5-3570K 3.4 GHz 4 Core
  • Memory: 16 GB RAM
  • Graphics: GeForce GTX 1050 (2GB)
  • DirectX: Version 11
  • Storage: 40 GB available space
  • OS: Windows 10 or later (64-Bit)
  • Processor: i9-9900K 3.6 GHz 8 Core
  • Memory: 32 GB RAM
  • Graphics: GeForce RTX 2070
  • DirectX: Version 11
  • Storage: 40 GB available space

As you can see, The requirements are a little beefy to meet the recommended, but the minimum isn’t too bad.

Another thing to keep in mind is that, at launch, there is no PVP. You can play with friends, but only cooperative is available to start. However, PVP Pal battles are planned for the future.

Are there different versions of Palworld at launch?

At launch, it seems as if the Game Pass and Steam editions of the game are different. Keep this in mind, as the Game Pass version is an older build, with less quality of life features, and some potential multiplayer issues.
