When you aren’t dungeon delving or building the rustic mansion of your dreams in Enshrouded, you can take a step back into your childhood and catch some fireflies.
Catching fireflies in the game isn’t just an exercise in nostalgia. You can use them to spruce up your base with some nice lights, and your firefly lamps actually boost the comfort of your base, which increases the amount of time your rested buff lasts when you leave home.
Hunting for light
As you might imagine, it’s best to go searching for fireflies at night. In the dark the world of Enshrouded gets a bit more dangerous because you can’t really tell what lurks in the shadows. Is that an oddly shaped rock just behind that tree, or is it a hungry wolf ready to rip my throat out? As long as you’ve got a weapon on hand, though, you shouldn’t be too concerned. You’ll find fireflies floating in little groups over tufts of grass, and capturing them is as easy as walking up and pressing the interact button.
If you prefer to be a homebody at night, you aren’t locked out of all the firefly fun. By day, fireflies sleep in the some bits of grass where they float at night. You can’t really see them as you wander around the world, but as long as you’re paying attention you’ll notice a “Collect” prompt appearing over what otherwise looks like empty space. That’s your opportunity to scoop up some fireflies and add them to your backpack stash.
