The ingredients of the morality soup that is Palworld are already questionable. Not only can you capture and put adorable monsters to work, but you can do the same for humans in the game. But why stop there? Let’s see if you can use the Meat Cleaver to butcher said humans in Palworld.
The question that should have instantly entered your mind is: But why? And my answer is just… because. I had a Meat Cleaver and let the dark impulses take the wheel. When I came to, I realized that yes, you can butcher the humans in Palworld with the Meat Cleaver. And we’re probably all the worse for knowing it.
You can butcher humans in Palworld, leaving us to wonder who the real monster is
Right, so you need to craft the Meat Cleaver weapon in Palworld to butcher Pals, humans, and your soul. You can unlock the weapon after reaching level 12. It costs five ingot, 20 Wood, five Stone, and a piece of your humanity.
The Meat Cleaver lets you basically kill your captured Pal friends for a chance at earning their drops. It’s an option the game allows if you have too many Pals and want to stock up on some dropped goodies. To use the Meat Cleaver, put your Pal victim into your party and summon it. Get close and press the 4 Key on your keyboard or the button required to open the Pal menu. With the Cleaver equipped, the ‘Pet’ option turns into ‘Butcher [Pal name]’.
Click on it and… well.
Killing the Pal removes it forever, of course. You’ll probably get some drops out of the action, but it wasn’t a guarantee for me.
Follow the prior steps to butcher a human in Palworld, if you must. Our guide on capturing Pals in Palworld can be followed for humans. Use it to get one, preferably a Syndicate Thug or other human enemy so you can tell yourself they deserved it or whatever it takes to sleep at night. Open the menu, click on the Butcher option, and never be the same again.
Butchering a human can result in typical human drops. The thug I sacrificed for this guide dropped the typical bread, Pal Sphere, and some Gold Coins. My hands may never be clean again.
