Character Ascension

Emperor of Fire and Iron

Gaming requires Emperor’s Resolutions harvested from the Emperor of Fire and Iron in Fontaine. You can access the underground arena by swimming down through an underwater cave.

You’ll need 46 boss materials in total, which will take an average of 18 boss runs or about 720 Resin at World Level 8.

Starconches

Starconches can be found on beaches in northeastern Liyue and Dragonspine. They’re generally out in the open, ready to be picked up from the sand.

Gaming requires 168 Starconches in total, so you’ll need to clear out just over two worlds to get enough.

Slime Condensate

Slimes are pretty ubiquitous throughout Teyvat. All slimes drop the same class of materials, regardless of their element.

Ascending Gaming requires 18 Slime Condensate, 30 Slime Secretions, and 36 Slime Concentrate — more if you plan on leveling his Talents.

Agnidus Agate

As a Pyro character, Gaming uses red Pyro gems to Ascend. Luckily, these can be obtained from the Emperor of Fire and Iron boss while farming his boss materials.

In total, Gaming will need 1 Sliver, 9 Fragments, 9 Chunks, and 6 Gemstones.

Talent Levels

Prosperity Books

Gaming uses Prosperity books to upgrade his Talents. These can be farmed from the Liyue Talent domain on Mondays, Thursdays, and Sundays.

Gaming needs 9 brown books, 63 silver books, and 114 gold books to fully level his Talents. This translates to roughly 2,480 Resin, depending on your luck.

Slime Condensate

Slime enemies can be found everywhere in Teyvat. If you’ve been playing for a while, there’s a good chance you have enough slime materials already.

Gaming’s Talents require 18 Slime Condensate, 66 Slime Secretions, and 93 Slime Concentrate to go from level 1 to 10.

Lightless Masses

Like all new characters released since Version 4.2, Gaming uses materials from the All-Devouring Narwhal, specifically Lightless Masses. This weekly boss domain unlocks upon completion of the Fontaine Archon Quests, but you can also quick-challenge the domain through the Adventurer’s Handbook.

To fully level his Talents, Gaming will need 18 Lightless Masses in total. This means around 8 weeks of farming, depending on how lucky you get with your drops.
