When it comes to keeping your Pals happy, one thing you’re going to need is a wide variety of medicines and the ingredients for these medicines include both Horn and Bone. We’ve covered how to get Horn, now let’s look at where we can source precious Bone.
Even if you’ve nailed the balance between work and Sanity for your Pals, you can’t predict when one of your Pals is going to get an ulcer, or if they get injured during a Raid. When this happens, there’s only one thing for it – medicine. But if you’ve not got the aforementioned ingredients, you need to go looking for it.
Pals who drop Bone
If you’re looking to farm Bone while capturing yourself some Pals, there are quite a large number of Pals who drop them. Spread all over the map, you’re sure to come across them at some point.
The easiest early game source for Bone is through Rushoar or Vixy, as they’re low-level Pals which spawn relatively close to the starting area, but here’s the full list of Pals who also drop Bone:
- Vixy
- Rushoar
- Cawgnito
- Loupmoon
- Vanwyrm (and the Cryst variant)
- Gorirat
- Maraith
- Bushi
- Verdash
- Anubis
Most of these Pals can be found within the forest Biome, although some of them are nocturnal. The notable exceptions to this are Anubis and Bushi. To get bones from Anubis, you’ll have to head for Twilight Dunes to fight the level 47 Alpha Anubis there. Meanwhile, Bushi spawns in two locations – Wildlife Sanctuary 3 and the Southern beaches of Mount Obsidian.
Where to buy Bone
As with a lot of basic ingredients, Bone can be purchased from Merchants throughout Palpagos. Even very early into the game, you can head to the Small Settlement and locate the Merchant there (he’s in the hut at the back, next to where the dungeon spawns), to buy Bone for 100 Gold a piece.
You might get lucky and encounter a Wandering Merchant while out exploring, but if you want to guarantee your ability to purchase, static Merchants can be found in the following locations:
- Small Settlement
- Fisherman’s Point
- Duneshelter
