Sango Pearls in Genshin Impact location

There’s a total of 44 Sango Pearls to find exclusively on Watatsumi Island. It’s the most southwestern island that can be accessed by boat. Proceed through the storyline for Inazuma and after finishing some introductory missions, you’ll be able to summon a boat from a Waverider Waypoint. The waypoint’s symbol looks like a white star with energy swirling around it. When you reach Watatsumi Island, find a Statue of the Seven to reveal the whole map.

Sango Pearls usually hang around waterfalls in the middle of the stunning island. Look out for purple shells that form like flower petals on the ground nearby. You’ll find a whitish-pink shell inside. Pick it up. Keep following the river and reach more waterfalls of a similar size, rushing down. You’ll find more of these Sango Pearls lying in wait.

What do we use Sango Pearls for?

These Sango Pearls are ascension items for two characters as of the time of writing: Gorou and Kokomi. To first ascend the former, you’ll need three Sango Pearls. Then it escalates like this:

  • Level 40 – 10
  • Level 50 – 20
  • Level 60 – 30
  • Level 70 – 45
  • Level 80 – 60

Where to buy this resource

You can purchase Sango Pearls in Genshin Impact from two shopkeepers. They each store five Sango Pearls every three days. The first Babak is located on the streets of Port Ormos in Sumeru to the eastern side of the town. Yamashiro Kenta is within the small town of Ritou. The annoying thing, however, is that Kenta and Babak won’t be around until you finish Raiden Shogun‘s Story Quest Imperatrix Umbrosa Chapter: Act 2 – Transient Dreams. On the bright side, they’ll sell Sango Pearls for 1,000 Mora each, which is pretty cheap.
