How to farm Pumpkins in Disney Dreamlight Valley

It’s as easy as Pumpkin Pie

If there’s one thing you’re always going to need in Disney Dreamlight Valley, it’s Star Coins. This currency is how you wipe out the stock in Scrooge’s shop every day and buy items from Goofy, Kristoff and Gaston. Since day one, there’s been one way to guarantee wealth — Pumpkins.

Pumpkins are your quick ticket to riches to rival even Scrooge himself; they’re fairly low maintenance, they sell for a pretty penny, and you can quickly earn millions of Star Coins that will prevent you worrying about your finances for a long time.

You’ll need to unlock the Forgotten Lands biome for 15,000 Dreamlight and open up Goofy’s stall there in order to purchase Pumpkin Seeds for 275 Star Coins each. He also sells Pumpkins themselves, but that’s not what you’re going to need for this money-making scheme.

Each seed produces one Pumpkin (technically, but we’ll get into that more later) and takes four hours to grow.

Farming Pumpkins is the same as farming anything else in the Valley; dig a hole, plant the seed, water the plant and then come back when it’s finished growing to harvest.

At any given time, I have roughly 600 Pumpkins growing in multiple Pumpkin patches around the Valley, not including the ‘decorative’ pumpkins that litter the Forgotten Lands. The patch pictured above contains 102 Pumpkins, so according to the supposed yield for Pumpkin Seeds, I should get 102 Pumpkins, right? Not quite.

Make sure that when you’re ready to harvest, you take a gardening buddy with you. For every Pumpkin you harvest, they’ll potentially drop another one for you to pick up. At level 10, this is pretty much guaranteed and they’ll often drop extras so it’s always worth it.

If you’re wondering why he’s penned in, it prevents him from constantly throwing out Pumpkins as I harvest. He throws them all out afterwards and they’re much easier to pick up.

After harvesting this patch of 102 Pumpkins with the help of my gardening buddy Stitch, who is level 10, I had 254 Pumpkins which sold for a total of 168,600 Star Coins. Not a bad profit from my initial 28,050 Star Coin outlay for seeds.
