Minecraft’s next update offers more content for crafters with new building materials, explorative areas, and mobs. We’re here to provide you with the latest details on Minecraft 1.21’s release date and expected features.
When does Minecraft 1.21 come out?
Minecraft 1.21, also known as Tricky Trials, will debut on June 13, 2024. Mojang Studios officially confirmed this date, and it will be available for both Java and Bedrock Editions. We also got a sneak peek at the new Minecraft update’s artwork, which showcases 1.21’s enemy mobs.
A release time hasn’t been confirmed yet, but it may come out around its standard time of 7 a.m. PT/10 a.m. ET/3 p.m. BST. Minecraft 1.21 is also available as a beta version via SnapShot and Preview. Keep in mind that these are still in the testing phase, so they may not be the same as the official version in June.
All new features for Minecraft 1.21
Minecraft 1.21 adds a few new elements to the game, with the following content:
- Trial Chambers
- Tuff and Copper blocks
- Trial Spawners
- Crafter
- The Breeze and Wind Charges
- The Vault
- Bogged mobs
- New paintings
- New armor trims
If you’re looking for a challenge, the Trial Chamber brings a new adventure deep underground. Discover these locations to defeat the hostile mob, The Breeze, who uses a deadly wind attack. The undead Bogged mobs will also linger in chambers and swamp biomes equipped with poisonous arrows.
Two new Minecraft 1.21 updates have been revealed, including rewards from the Wind Charge and the Vault. Diving into Trial Chambers provides more valuables from Spawners and the new blocks. However, watch out for hidden traps along the way, or else you may end up depleting the heart meter.
In addition to Trial Chambers, we have opt-in challenges known as “Ominous Trials.” All you need to do is drink an Ominous bottle to unlock this extremely difficult mode. Mobs will be a lot stronger here due to their increased armor defenses.
Those who are successful in these trials may unlock Ominous Vaults, which harness rewards like the Mace’s Heavy Core. Speaking of the Mace, you can also expect this hammer’s arrival in Minecraft 1.21, giving you the power to wield its handy Knockback effect.
Back on the surface, we have the latest Crafter Utility Block for automatic crafting. The material makes it easy to produce stacks of items rather than doing them individually. Additionally, new decorative blocks linked to copper and Redstone are on their way with the upcoming collection.
Lastly, 20 new paintings, including “Skull on Fire” and “Pigscene,” are expected to be released in Minecraft. They’ll certainly spruce up your place with their unique designs, either instilling cozy or haunting vibes.
